Come outdoors and closer to nature for a fun and relaxing breakfast paddle hosted by North Florida Land Trust (NFLT) with breakfast provided by Native Sun. The Ortega River has been one of Jacksonville’s favorite jaunts for paddling for centuries. The City of Jacksonville has already started preservation work there with Ringhaver Park, and North Florida Land Trust looks to expand that preservation forward. The Ortega River sits at the freshwater to brackish zone and offers paddlers a chance to view the unique landscapes and wildlife up close. From the Great Blue Heron to the American Alligator, there is no better way to experience the real Florida.

Native Sun Breakfast: Organic, Vegan or Gluten Free options will be available.
Native Sun will provide yogurt (cow's milk or coconut) parfaits with fresh organic strawberries and granola (or gluten free granola), your choice of a Gluten Free muffin Carrot Nut or Zucchini Raisin, and Fresh Organic Juice from Native Sun's Juice Bar (Roots, Shoots, and Fruits; carrot, apple, ginger, lemon, & parsley. When you sign up on the link there is an option if you have dietary restrictions or send me an email.

We will be launching from Ringhaver Park and Native Sun will provide breakfast before the paddle.

Please plan to arrive about 15 minutes early for check-in and a safety briefing. We recommend wearing bug spray, sunscreen, and clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting wet.

Our group size is limited, so please register if you plan on attending - even if you are bringing your own kayak/canoe.

Join us for breakfast paddle on the water!
